I was never attracted to Karate or Judo because they were so popular. My interests led me to ancient Chinese Kung Fu styles as well as Filipino and Indonesian styles that nobody has ever heard of.
The most obscure martial arts interest me the most. Always have. That strange move that somehow flattens the opponent with hardly any effort but a yawn and a bored look. How did he DO that? What's the trick?
There must be wires. No, I was never into wire fu, I liked the ancient real traditions. Wire fu is what's used in the movies to do those fantasic moves. They use wires and remove them in the post production room with specially trained people to do what they call "wire removal" which fits. That's what they do is erase the wires so you can't see any in the movie.
